Uses
Treating and preventing low levels of vitamin C. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Protexin solution is a vitamin. It works by supplementing vitamin C, which is used in many functions in the body.
Benefits
Protexin can be used as a preventative measure to support a healthy microfloral and immune balance during key periods. It helps the following conditions:
Irritable Bowel Syndrome
During and after antibiotic therapy
Atopic disorders/conditions
Diarrhea
Bloating
Flatulence
Candida infections
M.E.
Constipation
Cautions
Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps/pain, or heartburn may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
If your doctor has directed you to use this vitamin, remember that he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this vitamin do not have serious side effects.
Tell your doctor right away if any of these rare but very serious side effects occur:painful urination, pink/bloody urine.
A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash,itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.

Interactions
Some MEDICINES MAY INTERACT with Protexin solution. Tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following:
- Anticoagulants (eg, warfarin) because side effects may be increased by Protexin solution
