Uses
Trillium pendulum is astringent, tonic, and antiseptic; it has been employed successfully inhemoptysis, hematuria, menorrhagia, uterine hemorrhage, metrorrhagia, leucorrhoea, cough, asthma, and difficult breathing,and is said to have been much used by the Indian women to promote parturition. The astringent varieties of Trillium have been found useful in hemorrhages; the acrid species in chronic affections of the respiratory organs, phthisis, hectic fever, etc.
Benefits
This remedy is great for women who suffer from anemia and feel dizzy. There are uterine hemorrhages from fibroids with cramp-like pains and a sensation of broken hips. This remedy has also a great use for threatened miscarriages with gushing of bright blood on the least movement.
Cautions
Documented adverse effects (emmenagogue and uterine stimulant). Avoid use. Although not yet clinically observed, trillium could have potential membrane-irritating effects and induce some cardiac activity.
