- Mental picture and specific indications: Wild indigo is indicated when the pulse is intermittent, black or blue tongue, lack of blood flow to an area causing dusky colored tissues, ulcerations, putrid and offensive excretions, foul breath and muscle soreness. The individual may experience confusion, delirium, muttering, indifference to everything and sleepy, even stuporous, melancholy. The mind may wander and it may be hard to think.
