Glutathione is a protein that is found inside every cell of the human body, with the highest concentrations found in the liver. Reduced glutathione passes through our cells gathering up toxins, free radicals and heavy metals, excreting them from the body. Once this action is performed the glutathione molecule enters its oxidized form. Unlike other antioxidants, glutathione can be recycled once in its oxidized form through the methylation process.
